I had an excellent time with the tour. First time joining SGTrekker and it was great travelling with avid photographers sharing ideas. Blessed with great weather and great company, I had wonderful time at all the spots. Thankful to my guide (Adrian Loh) for sharing his experiences and selfless in making this trip a success. Will hope to be part of his future tours.
My recent visit to Lombok Island was indeed adventurous trip. Lombok, close to Bali, has many scenic spots for outdoor photography. Beaches such as Nambung, Semeti and Batu Payung are excellent locations for shooting seacapes during golden hour.
I must admit that the trek up Mount Rinjani was tough and exhausting – aching limbs and muscles. But one would be amply rewarded by the fabulous scenery at the rim of Senaru Crater. At 2641m above sea level, you get a majestic view of the entire landscape showing the mountain range, volcano and Lake Segara Anak below.
Lastly, I must thank Adrian and Dul, our Lombok guide for their patience and help during the entire trip. It was definitely a good trip that I will always remember.
The mountain scenery is fantastic, the boat ride and beautiful sunset over the waves are added bonuses. The Komodo dragons ( sighted four) are a sight to see. The adrenalin rush to your brain as you watch the animal move is something to experience. All in all, a great trip which is made even more enjoyable with a group of like-minded photographers led by a caring, efficient and thoughtful tour leader, Adrian of the Singapore Trekker. I have learnt much in the finer art to photographing not only landscapes but also people and documentary photos that tell a story. A highly recommended trip for those who are young at heart. However, you do need some legs muscles to be able to take on the trekking which I find most enjoyable when you are physically active.
Adrian was prompt, informative and take care of everyone well. He also shared many tips/teaching in photography. His sense of humor made the trip casual and fun.
Traveling with SG Trekker is like traveling with friends, unlike the traditional typical agency tour. Each place we visited, we are able to stay and explore longer.
All in all, I enjoyed my Jordan/Petra short trekking trip!
This was my 2nd trip with SGTrekker, led by Adrian. I\’ve enjoyed the trips as he organizes various shooting opportunities – landscapes, architectural, street photography and ensured that we got to taste the local food as well. What i like is the fact that Adrian will shoot and share his photos for us to help the participants get an idea of what and how to shoot from various perspectives and also, patiently walk us through workflows to ensure that we’re “taught to fish” rather than “feeding us the fish”. So far, i’ve enjoyed traveling with SGTrekker as the participants are very nice and interesting people, and have formed new friendships, and Adrian will ensure that we are all comfortable and taken care of. Will definitely go on more trips with SGTrekker.
SGTrekker has done it again! An Italy trip of such duration is never easy to organise – and to organise with good food, cheese, wine and a most delightful local gourmet cum history tour in Florence. The carefully chosen vantage points every day cater to the diehard photographers, yet the well-appointed guides bring the history buff through a detail run-through of the historical sites. The colours of Cinque Terra were presented in a coordinated manner, and what I found most enchanting were the medieval villages of Montepulciano and San Gimignano. A very unforgettable trip – for the photographer, the historian and the food lover.
The photo trip was indeed well organized. Cinque Terre is one of the must-go destinations in Italy. I have picked up some good tips in landscape photography from Adrian. He is a very cheerful and obliging guy who readily shares what he knows with everyone.
